Native New Yorker

Lucia went on her first jaunt into the city. Lucky her she got to visit the two best places to get a shake. Our first stop was to the Stand where their toasted marshmallow shake was featured on Food Network by Iron Chef Michael Symon on the Best Thing I Ever Ate. Oh momma, it was dynamite. If you're ever in the vicinity, get one, you won't regret it. I downed it so fast I didn't have time to take a picture. And I'm not even a marshmallow person. Then we walked over to Max Brenner's for an 80's milkshake...my now second favorite milkshake. I think it was a good initiation for her.

Easter Goodness

Easter weekend we enjoyed dying eggs, seeing what the Easter bunny brought us, and dinner with good friends.

It was a treat to dress boys and a girl in their Easter outfit. I managed to find the Martha Stewart in me and I made the boys' ties and Lucia's dress. I guess this what a little girl does to me.

She's Lovely

Lucia Marie Seare
6 lbs. 9 oz.
March 9 11:02 p.m.

Her delivery was as heavenly as she is. Fast, easy, and virtually pain free. I went in to the hospital at a 5 and after an hour on the pitocin, one long contraction, and she was here.
She had some respiratory issues at birth, so they snatched her away to the NICU.
It's a difficult thing to ask a mother to be away from her new love. But I didn't mind the walks and elevator rides to the NICU.
The biggest disappointment was being discharged one day before her. It was a long car ride home. One that made New York City seem like an empty, desolate town. My heart was heavy that night. I'm glad it's behind me.
Taylor knits. He knitted this little hat for her. One of the biggest joys, besides Lucia herself, is seeing Taylor react to her. He's smitten. Every guy needs a girl.

They had the giggles at meeting her.
The kisses are flowing freely and excessively in our house. It's beautiful.

Here we are. The new and improved Seare family. We are a party of 5 now and we couldn't be happier.

(Our) INCREDIBLE 3 Year Old

Colton is 3! He's such a fun and funny kid to have around. He's king of the one liners. He has a fascination to explore public restrooms. Making his dad proud, he declares he wants to be baptized and be a dentist when he gets big.

He insisted on having an INCREDIBLE HULK party. He was clear he needed "polpol" shorts.

Birthday morning, his request was pancakes. He didn't claim 3 until he was able to blow out candles. Being the smart boy that he is, he logically asked for candles on his pan-cake.

This Was A Good Week

My sweetheart gave me a double dose of Valentine's this year. He continued his Valentine's Day tradition of giving the gift of Broadway. We went to Jersey Boys together and LOVED it. It's been his favorite. I will warn that the language was colorful, but what do you expect from guys from Joisey? And, I got to go to Wicked for my third time. I love that show. It's just as good each time. There's only a few things left on my bucket list and I plan on getting them all done.

Global Warming

Right.

I'm not buying it.
