She's Lovely

Lucia Marie Seare
6 lbs. 9 oz.
March 9 11:02 p.m.

Her delivery was as heavenly as she is. Fast, easy, and virtually pain free. I went in to the hospital at a 5 and after an hour on the pitocin, one long contraction, and she was here.
She had some respiratory issues at birth, so they snatched her away to the NICU.
It's a difficult thing to ask a mother to be away from her new love. But I didn't mind the walks and elevator rides to the NICU.
The biggest disappointment was being discharged one day before her. It was a long car ride home. One that made New York City seem like an empty, desolate town. My heart was heavy that night. I'm glad it's behind me.
Taylor knits. He knitted this little hat for her. One of the biggest joys, besides Lucia herself, is seeing Taylor react to her. He's smitten. Every guy needs a girl.

They had the giggles at meeting her.
The kisses are flowing freely and excessively in our house. It's beautiful.

Here we are. The new and improved Seare family. We are a party of 5 now and we couldn't be happier.

I'm so happy to see how beautiful she is and how BIG the boys look next to her! Susie, you look stunning! What on earth...it's not right for a mother of a baby that tiny, and still in the hospital, to look so beautiful. What an amazing and precious family you have!! Can't wait to meet her in person! We love you guys.

Mama Pajama! What a beauty she is. I really just want to gobble her up. And seriously, you look pretty good in that picture. It's not as good as your picture after Ian, but it is still a keeper. ;)

YAY!!!!! Susan, I am so happy for you guys, she is beautiful!!!! Ava had to spend a week in the NICU, that was so hard on me, so I know exactly how you feel. Again, congrats, and Randy is the same way with her as Taylor is with your little one. They are both lucky little girls to have such great big brothers, yay for them!!!

Those pictures are so cute. you do look great.

I have a bag for you! I've been trying to find your email, and Katie's lost somewhere on an island, so I'm not going to be able to send it all surprise like I wanted to.

So, where do I send it? I hope you like yellow. Yellow is tricky with some people. I posted a picture already, with your name on it. So if you'd rather have blue, or pink perhaps, we'll do another one and call it Lucia. No prob.

Congratulations Susan!

She is just beautiful!!!! Glad to see Taylor is so smitten with her and that you'll be out of school soon when you want to buy her every cute thing you see, which is most everything for little girls :) And what a bummer to not be able to bring her home with you...that would be horrible, but really she is just precious!!!
