Seare Adventures 6.0

Taylor and Ian had a Daddy/Son day where they went to a Yankees game and got to see the new stadium. Ian is still talking about it. But even then, I don't know who had a better time: Dad or Son. Or even Colton and I, who got to enjoy some one on one time as well.

This was sugar heaven for our family as we started at Dylan's candy bar (where Ian couldn't get over the candy stairs) and ended at Serendipity III for their famous Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate. I love living in New York.

We had a playgroup day where we went park hopping to a few parks in the city. We concluded with cupcakes from Sugar Sweet Sunshine bakery. I love living here.

Taylor had a guys day out with a few friends and they went to Boston and saw a Red Sox game at Fenway.

The boys had their first Fathers & Sons camp out. I did something I never thought I would do again...I slept in til 10:45 a.m. Motherly Bliss. Joy of having boys.

Taylor's family came into town a few months ago. They always show us a good time. We went to the famous La Esquina to eat where I spotted America Ferrera. Taylor wouldn't let me take a picture because she was eating. I have such a considerate husband. Sorry I don't have proof, but it was her. We then went to Rice to Riches and Pinkberry for dessert. I love this place.

We enjoyed another delicious pie (pizza that is) at Grimaldi's and did the walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. This is my favorite bridge out here.

A day at Central Park where half of NYC decided to be. I laugh at the middle picture because Ian had just finished his popsicle so he was holding his stick and I asked him to give Colton a hug so I can get a picture. As I looked back at the picture, I noticed he put his popsicle stick in his armpit. Where else would you put it?

Looking at the picture of Colton at the top of the Empire State building with his head sticking out still gives me a few tickles in my tummy. On the right: enjoying a chocolate mess at Max Brenner's. Have I said how much I love the city. I do.

Our Christmas Stuff Is Packed Away

But our memories of a delightful Christmas are not. Here are a few highlights from our last couple of weeks. We started with an early Christmas celebration at home before we headed to Utah.

Ian showing off his remote control car Santa brought him.

Nana's ginormous present she sent the boys from Arizona.

Christmas morning. Ian picking out his presents already, and Colton just picking his nose.

The real Christmas Eve at Grandma's house

A go-gurt mishap.

Colton's naked morning eating doritos and playing Rock Band.

New Christmas pj's and all the Seare couisins.

A lovely Nativity pageant. Ian was a very reverent Joseph while Colton was a very appropriate donkey. It was humbling to be with such great talent with a beautiful presentation on why we celebrate Christmas.

Enjoying a bubble bath in a tub bigger than our New York crock pot tub.

Fondue: A New Year's Eve Tradition

Bringing in the New Year with slight confusion. Why is everyone screaming and banging pots and pans?

Family snow time. Disregard some of the feminine snow attire my male family members are wearing. All of it was on loan to us.

Serious sledding at the Johnson Cabin.

The last two weeks were magical. The only way we can describe it is Christmas Perfection.

Danke Schoen

As the song goes, I recall Central Park in Fall...I don't recall anything about how it would be rainy and wet. Albeit, we had an unforgettable time. We started with a carriage ride and ended with finding dry refuge under a bridge and listening to a sax player. One thing I really enjoyed about this day was admiring Colton's perfect curl when his hair is wet.

This was before it started pouring. The boys were enjoying the walk and the leaves and attempting to climb all the rocks we walked past. Ian kept pointing out to us that it was Fall.

I really had envisioned this serene ride around the park where the boys were going to point out the color of the leaves and the birds singing, but they let me know right away how it was going to be. Colton immediately figured out how the carriage was going to be his playground. Maybe I should be happy about giving my boys a new venue for their wrestle mania.
