Santaland at Macy's on 34th, Katz, and the Winner

Visiting Santa was no small quest. However, it was rewarding after battling the crowds. Macy's makes it worth your wait. Free entertainment during the line (they had a quartet singing) and a "train ticket" to enter the North Pole where there are more distractions awaiting. They even let you take your own pictures with Santa. It was a good time. We came home and watched Elf and my kids were laughing their heads off.

The line worked up an appetite so we headed to the local's favorite kosher deli "Katz" for their signature pastrami on rye. It melts in your mouth. We also headed to the Doughnut Plant that was featured on Throwdown with Bobby Flay for some Tres Leches doughnut. Unfortunately, they were cash only so we were only allowed 2. No pity needed, I quickly returned the following week for a plethora of goodness!

And the winner is........Julianna Richman! I know you'll appreciate it. I'll try and send it out this week, but I can't promise. You'll get it soon!

I knew it was going to be me! I had a feeling. The only other thing I have ever won was a coloring contest in the 5th grade and I won tickets to the rodeo and my mom would not take me! Turns out I prob would not have liked it anyway as rodeo's stink! Thanks so much-I can't wait! Wish we were there in person!

ummm, the pickle...Haha. I hope you guys had a fabulous Christmas!! We took our kids to the play "A Christmas Story". It was awesome, and really followed the movie, and so we watched the movie on Christmas with our kids (or attempted, we turned it off...so inappropriate) Anyway, the pictures of you at Macy's to see Santa are just like the movie!! Looks like you are living it up in NYC!! I hope we can come visit before you move!! Love you all!
